Somerset Marine was formed by Abed Medawar in August 2000. Shortly thereafter he was joined by Sharin Pereira and together these seasoned industry professionals brought twenty-five years of experience to the company.

Having served in key positions with major shipping companies prior to forming Somerset Marine, they had witnessed the deterioration of true customer service and satisfaction in the international shipping industry to unacceptable levels and were determined to do something about it!

At Somerset Marine, our focus is to bring back true service without compromising price. Our ultimate goal is to ensure complete customer satisfaction through careful planning and execution.

Somerset Marine is committed to making our world a better place by helping others in need. For every shipment you give us, we donate $5 from any profit we make to a reputable charity. To date the donations have been made to ARM's Reach International (ARI), that is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing emergency aid for victims of natural and other disasters anywhere in the world. ARI in turns either organizes shipments of aid or donates to other not-for-profit organizations that deliver goods and supplies to disaster areas at short notice.
